Feedstock Handling System:

The feedstock handling system is responsible for transporting biomass feedstock from storage areas or stockpiles to the gasification reactor. This system is also responsible for processing the feedstock by crushing it to meet the requirements for gasification reactions. The feedstock handling system includes equipment such as crushers, belt conveyors, and gantry cranes.

Heating system:

The biomass gasification process requires high-temperature conditions, which are typically provided by burning fuels such as natural gas, biomass gas, coal, or other heating methods to generate the necessary heat.

Gas Cleaning System:

The syngas produced during biomass gasification reactions typically contain solid impurities, gas impurities, and harmful substances. It need to be treated through a gas cleaning system to ensure its purity and usability. This includes processes such as dust removal, desulfurization, denitrification, and dechlorination.

Gasification Reactor:

The gasification reactor is the core component of the biomass gasification plant, where biomass feedstock is converted into syngas under high temperature and low oxygen conditions. GEMCO biomass gasification system typically employs our independently developed updraft fixed-bed gasification reactor. However, it can be customized to use fluidized bed or other gasifiers based on customer requirements.

Waste Heat Recovery System:

The waste heat released during gasification reactions can be recovered and reused through a waste heat recovery system to improve the system’s energy efficiency.

Control System:

The control system includes sensors, instruments, and automated control devices used to monitor and control critical parameters such as temperature, pressure, atmosphere, and others during the gasification process. This ensures the safety and stability of the whole system.

Benefits of SynGas

Synthesis gas, produced from renewable resources like biomass, is a clean energy source that doesn’t rely on finite fossil fuel resources. It offers advantages such as low pollution, high efficiency, and sustainability. Producing and using syngas helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, combat climate change, and align with international climate agreements such as the Kyoto Protocol.

The CO2 emissions generated when biomass syngas is burned are roughly equivalent to the amount of CO2 absorbed during the growth phase of the biomass feedstcok. This is often referred to as “zero” emissions, making it a more environmentally friendly energy option.

Renewable Source

Syngas is produced from renewable sources, and its combustion process does not release large quantities of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other pollutants, resulting in a smaller negative impact on the atmosphere.

Low Ash Content
